Your True Self is calm! In this inner calmness, the Joy of Life flows quietly. The question is: are you silent enough to listen?

Discovering your True Self allows you to experience life as a Free Soul.

The discovery of who you truly are demands that you look deeply inward. Look deeply and calmly.

The first challenge you meet is, of course, you’re jumping from autopilot mode, where our own attention jumps around from one stimulus to another.

For your ego or subconscious mode, this wandering awareness is endlessly compelling because there’s always a stronger external stimulus or inner noise. So, it runs... endlessly until you leave your physical body or until you reach saturation. Get enough of it!

Why do we feel lost and keep longing for something?

You feel lost as your True Self is hidden beneath your inner “noise”; this video explains the inner noise problem.

Whatever you experience in your autopilot mode will never satisfy you, so you keep longing for something stable. This stable domain is Your True self and awareness.

The outside world and your experiences in your inner domain always keep changing.

You can't find something stable in your mind or in the world around you. It all changes. How fast is a different question, but it all always changes.

You are not your thoughts, your imaginations, your emotions, your desires, your fears, your physical body, your pains, or your sufferings. You are not your life experiences or any external events.

As the True Self, you have always been whole and peaceful. Your true essence is Silence and Presence.

What you need in this state is the mastery of awareness, and awareness-based intrapersonal skills are with you as this gives you the inner power to lead all your intrapersonal processes and physical body at will (see the graph below).

Your inner domain has different layers, and understanding their hierarchy will allow you to improve self-leadership.

Leading your awareness and sensing, and using your Intrapersonal skills, in your physical body and where you find yourself in the present moment, is what allows you to lead your thoughts, imagination, emotions, and physical body (see the yellow layers on the graph above) at will.

Mastery of those four levels allows you to use those tools without disturbing your own inner silence and losing contact with your True Self.

You are a calm observer and a conscious decision maker

You, as True Self, are the observer and the one who makes conscious life choices as the endless play of life unfolds around you.

A conscious choice is possible only when you are present in your physical body, when you use sensing, and are fully aware.

In that timeless state and in presence, you have the ability to think, to imagine, and to use your physical body. These are your tools for actually carrying out your conscious choice.

In this state, you can observe life calmly.

In nature, you can often find the calm and stillness the mind needs.

A calm mind enjoys inner peace and sees calmness everywhere. In nature or behind all external turmoil.

When you act in a life-preserving way, lightness and the joy of life appear. The joy of life is a side effect of being your True Self.

Why do you often feel pressure and tension?

When you’re on autopilot, driven by desires and fears, you become tense both mentally and physically. The more tense you are, the less lasting contact you have with the True Self.

Your tension, as True Self, is zero. The primordial tension of the consciousness is also zero. You feel tensions as you identify with what you are not.

If you identify with your True Self, you can see tensions, but you would never feel that you are the tension.

As a free soul, you live for understanding and for preserving life.

Freedom is choosing with calm awareness—departing when it is wise and staying when it is necessary.

Paradoxically, life itself has no fixed meaning. Seeking the meaning of life is failing to live. It is just a false narrative to keep your mind busy.

Meaning of life isn't outside of you; it is fully Being Present. Experiencing life is the point!

The endless play of life unfolds so you can gain conscious experience, understand, and practice preserving life based on those understandings. By doing this, you yourself give your life meaning, while you simply are.

Ease of being and Conscious Choice are what give actual Freedom — to be a human being and, when needed, take conscious action.

The word Human Being itself describes who you are, a Being in Human form. You are not a human doing!

When you are in inner silence, you notice that around you is the play of life that turns to you. Not abstractly, but as fellow Human Beings, animals, birds, different life situations that offer opportunities or challenges, etc.

It is beautiful when you notice what seeks your understanding and help. Then you notice the quest and opportunity.

Being born into a human body is special because here the True Self has Free Will.

Freedom means replacing the comfortable ticking on the autopilot mode with the use of your conscious Free Will.

Reactivity versus conscious choice

Nature and the universe accept that you react or re-live what happened in the past, and thus choose inner suffering over and over.

However, the Universe doesn’t gain added understanding from such suffering, because there is no novelty in mere reaction.

There is only — as they say in India — karma. Karma is not fate. Karma is living under the influence of repeated inner reactions. As there are endless combinations of such inner reactions, things seem complicated. But if you simplify, you have just two choices: living in inner reactivity or making conscious choices (or using your ability to respond).

Reactivity takes your freedom; responsibility provides you freedom. It is that simple!

You are living reactively until you are satiated and ready to understand who you really are. When this day arrives, is 100% up to you!

In nature, animals, birds, and insects live in the presence. Paradoxically, their choices are also reactive and instinctive, yet they don't suffer from inner noise as they don't think. They just observe, and thus are more present than most humans in modern society.

There is an amusing paradox: presence without Free Will is not yet Freedom.

What is inner freedom?

Inner freedom is the ability to do or not do something. It isn't the right to rebel and create chaos. For real freedom, you always need two options in every situation: I do it, I don't do it.

For example: the freedom to think or not to think; to be in silence and peace as the True Self. Freedom is always a conscious choice.

As the True Self, being present in the physical human body, you can be aware, sense, and act from inner peace and, while aware of conditions, make a Conscious Choice.

Any animal, bird, or insect is present, but the survival instinct leaves no room for conscious choice.

The ability to relax strengthens focus and allows you to deliver your best results.

It’s interesting that when a human being is in inner silence, pure True Self, the animal or bird doesn't distinguish them from the environment. Such a person is invisible to them, unless the body’s smell or a threatening motion makes them appear as a danger.

Animals and birds allow an inwardly silent and calm person to be very close.

As long as you have no expectations, intentions (in any form to possess or dominate over them), or inner reactions, and you remain a calm observer, you are as safe as a tree or plant. Birds and animals don't perceive the movement of trees or plants, which follow nature’s rhythm, as a threat. Movement thus, is not the main problem; your inner noise or ill intention is.

A playful attitude is a powerful support for mind health and solving real-life challenges.

Animals and birds do preserve life, which doesn’t rule out eating other animals, etc. Here, you need to understand a wild animal in its natural environment. Its instincts include killing weaker or sick prey for food and self-defense. However, no animal or bird in a natural habitat kills more than needed for food.

As a human being, you can, in addition to sensing and being present in the body, bring awareness into play.

Using sensing and awareness consciously adds a new dimension to freedom and allows Free Will as a conscious choice. But in this conscious choice, feeling and bodily presence also have an important role. So you should not consider yourself superior to other life forms. Life simply is, and in it there is presence.

Freedom is to be life-preserving and experience the joy of life

As a human, Freedom is to give lovingly and kindly without depending on whether such giving is returned to you.

Freedom is to be relaxed when no action is needed, and to act when action is needed.

A Free Soul has no idea of what comes next. The greatest charm of the human body is that for the Free Soul, there is no predestination in how things unfold. There is the play of life around you, and inner calmness and joy of life!

As your True Self, you are free.

You are; You know that you are, and a certain energy upholds You. SatCitAnanda, as they say in India.

Experiencing the True Self comes down to looking inward and calming your own active mind down to inner calmness. The Ananda part of this SatCitAnanda is experienced as the Joy of Life. Are you silent enough and fully present to notice?

Conclusion

You need to use your awareness and intrapersonal skills. This allows you to gain freedom and to attain your full potential as a Human Being.

The trick is to enjoy being relaxed! Live in fully present form and accept that you don't know what happens next. However, whatever happens, you have a conscious choice. This choice is what makes you free.

Relaxation removes stress, and the power to accept not knowing what happens next removes anxiousness. That is why our trainings are relaxing, allowing you to understand your inner hierarchy and improve taking responsibility.
